Looks like the Earth’s mightiest heroes are closer to us than we thought! Yesterday (Apr 24), Menara TM, or Telekom Tower, along Federal Highway took on a different glow on the top of the 77-floor building − Avengers’ logo was seen beaming brightly on it!
According to Unifi Facebook post as well as Marvel Malaysia official Facebook page, pictures and video of the tower have confirmed the sighting and they have since gone viral with over 9,000 shares and 100,000 views combined.
For those who are confused why Malaysians got so excited over this, it’s actually because Menara TM architecture resembles Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character Tony Stark’s building also known as Stark Tower or Avengers Tower.
It’s the iconic helipad structure attached to a triangular tower that makes the two having great resemblance. Stark Tower first appeared in MCU as early as 2012 in The Avengers and ever since then fans have identified the fictional building in Manhattan, New York, as the home to the mighty heroes.
On Marvel Malaysia Facebook page, along with the video was the caption written: “Malaysia is ready! 12 hours till Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas nationwide. Let the countdown begin,” whereas on Unifi Facebook page, it sneakily reveals Menara TM as the “real” Iron Man’s headquarters:
Coinciding with the long-awaited third Avengers movie premiering tonight, fans have jumped on to the post to make some funny remarks. One netizen questioned if Tony Stark would want to work in an Internet service provider office which has a “low broadband speed”.
While another netizen apologized to all his friends and pleaded that he’s just a weak human being. He said tomorrow will be the day Thanos would come to wipe out the Earth. All of our hopes are in the hands of the heroes, Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy and the rest of the Avengers.
