BTS has worked with Puma since 2015 but has become an official global ambassador for the brand in 2018.
Coming out this year is the Kpop band’s third Puma x BTS collection. The difference is that this year, the designs which had Suga, JungKook, Rm, Jin, J-hope and Jimin’s input will be available worldwide.
What can you expect? A remix of Puma’s classic Turin line, as well as sportswear basics, are given the BTS touch.
The Puma x BTS Turin line will feature clean lines and a monochromatic, minimalist colourway and synthetic leather upper, with Puma and BTS branding prominent on the insoles as well as heels.
You’ll also see the band’s insignia of a hand holding a flower stalk – a nod to the devotion of BTS’ huge fanbase, called the Army.
The members will also appear in Puma’s Sportstyle range campaign, which will be great for fans who are always looking out for new views of their idols. Expect to see BTS members clad in iconic items such as the T-7 tracksuit and the Puma Suede.
BTS got a lot of international notice last year after winning ‘Top Social Artist’ at the Billboard Music Awards and has also made it to the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with its remix album MIC Drop.
Besides this latest collaboration, another Puma x BTS capsule collection will also be available in Fall.
It will be good news for fans who previously could only obtain BTS x Puma merchandise from Korea. Pricing also looks fairly reasonable, not much more expensive than Puma’s usual line.
No word on when the collection will make its way to Malaysia but it will go worldwide in July, officially on sale in Korea this month. So if you’re a BTS fan and you happen to be in Korea, check out the BTS x Puma collab.
