CIMB Says Its Online Banking is “Secure” Despite Netizens’ Claims Thousands Lost in Minutes

The “hacked” victim Nazri advised netizens to stop using CIMB debit card and opt for credit card as of now so that the affected transactions won’t affect users’ savings. Nasri also urged netizens to check all SMSes received from banks and take immediate actions if suspicious transactions were found.

“Disable Debit Card function, stick to ATM Card to only withdraw cash.

“(And) do not save any of your bank details into any online transaction (Lazada, Shopee, PayPal, etc). This is not related to my case, but just be careful and be vigilant my friend,” Nazri suggested.

Remember to share this news to your friends and family so that we all can stay vigilant of this alleged hacking.
