Driver Who Allowed Son to Do “Superman” Stunt on Moving Car Arrested

The video which saw two boys lying on top of a car as it sped through a red light went viral over the weekend (Jul 20).

Citing to the netizen who posted the video, FeedMe Malaysia reported that the incident happened in Taman Scientex, Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Just after the video went live for a day, the police had already arrested the man who operated the vehicle, Sinar Harian reported.

Seri Alam OCPD Supt Ismail Dollah said the suspect is a 49-year-old man and he was arrested on Sunday at around 7.45pm.

The arrest came the police received a tip-off provided from the public. The police stormed a house in Taman Nusa Damai in Pasir Gudang, Johor, and made the arrest.

“We believe the suspect was the vehicle’s driver when the two boys were on the car’s trunk.

“We also seized the Toyota Vios car used in their stunt,” Supt Ismail told the media today (Jul 22).

The boys who pulled the “Superman” stunt are age between 10 and 12. One of them is the suspect’s son, The Star quoted Supt Ismail as saying.

The case is currently investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code for endangering the lives of others. If convicted, the offender could face up to three months of imprisonment, a fine up to RM500, or both.
