The English folk-pop sensation, Ed Sheeran, is coming back to Malaysia after just over a year.
Retaining the same tour name, the Divide (÷) tour will be held at National Stadium, Bukit Jalil − on April 13, 2019. The last time Ed was here was on a Tuesday night, November 2017, for a concert of the same tour in Axiata Arena.
The ginger-haired singer’s concert will be on a Saturday night this time and the ticket price starts at RM98, to RM198, RM298, RM358 and RM488. According to official ticket seller PR World, there are separate RM298 tickets that are for standing, while the rest are seated tickets.
It is said that Ed and his team are against anyone who uses unethical secondary ticketing sites to absurd ticket prices and rip fans’ money off. Therefore, for this concert, tickets can only be bought through PR Worldwide and MyTicket Asia. Each person could only buy a maximum of 4 tickets.
The tickets will open for sale at 10am on January 15 (next Tuesday) and the tickets will be personalized with attendees’ names. Only the person of the same name could use the ticket on the day and there would be security checks to screen photo ID names to the printed names on the tickets.
Children below the age of six are not allowed to attend the concert while only people who age above 14 could buy the standing tickets. All ‘Print-At-Home’ E-tickets will only be issued no earlier than 7 – 14 days before the day of the concert.
We are glad that Ed and his team is taking a strong stance against ticket resellers! In 2017, some Ed’s concert tickets were resold from RM458 to whooping RM8,000. The Hive Asia reported that PR Worldwide and MyTicket Asia had taken the effort to declare as void those suspicious resold tickets.
The Star reported then that 12,000 tickets were all snapped up within 30 minutes once they had gone on sale at 10am. Be sure not to miss out this time, peeps!
