Hong Kong superstar Gloria Tang, or more fondly known by her stage name G.E.M., needed to take oxygen therapy while performing in Genting Highlands last week.
The 27-year-old singer, who is well known for being “the diva with giant lungs” due to her great vocal range, was performing at the Resort World Genting on Friday and Saturday (Apr 5-6) as part of her Queen of Hearts World Tour.
G.E.M. found herself dizzy and was suffering from hypoxia midway through her shows due to high altitude. She had to run backstage twice for oxygen therapy.
She pointed out it was an unforgettable experience as it was her first time encountering something like this. Poor girl~
She even posted a picture in all her Facebook account, receiving oxygen from the face masks. Her fans all praised her performance and told her that she should stop pushing her health to the limits.
One fan wrote on Facebook, “Genting has high altitude, you worked too hard. I shouted till I got dizzy.”
Another fan said, “You still look awesome with that oxygen”.
“Remember, your fans want you around, health comes first!”, one wrote.
G.E.M. is well known for her songs like TIK TOK, Light Years Away and Goodbye. She first came to Malaysia in 2015 when she had a live show for her X.X.X World Tour. Last week’s concert marked her fourth visit to the country.
