Concert promoter IME Asia dropped a teaser on its Facebook page, hinting at yet another act coming soon to Malaysia. Who will it be? The teaser states all will be revealed on 28 March 2018 at 1.18pm.
IME recently brought in Incubus as well as Kpop sensation Wanna One, and will host ‘New Rules’ star Dua Lipa this May as well as girl group TWICE in July. Cantopop star GEM is also on the roster, scheduled to perform in Penang this June.
Who is the next act? With the variety of acts IME has brought in there’s no telling who. Kpop fans have guessed that it could be SM Entertainment’s revolving boy group NCT who currently has 18 members in total. The gold and cream colour scheme has also led to speculation that it could be Wanna One again or reversal icons Nu’est W.
Other long shots are EXO and Super Junior, them making Kuala Lumpur another stop on their world tours is possible but unlikely.
The promoter also told TWICE fans to be wary of a fake site going around claiming to have details of the seating plan and pricing for the coming TWICE concert. While the date (28 July) has been confirmed, IME Asia has yet to confirm ticketing and seating plans.
IME made the following statement on the upcoming TWICE concert:
“We will be announcing TWICE ticket availability the nearest time… through all of our official page
Facebook – IME Asia
Twitter – IMEMalaysia
Instagram – ime_asia
Wechat – IME Productions
Line – IME Malaysia
If you have further enquiries do call us during office hour at this phone number 03-2715 1843 or TicketCharge ticketing hotline 03-92228811”
In the meantime, Kpop fans also have the upcoming fanmeeting for Kpop duo MXM this 1 May to look forward to at the HGH Convention Centre, with tickets already available via Ticketcharge. MXM, comprising Lim Young-min and Kim Dong-hyun, got their first shot of fame on the reality show Produce 101 which also birthed megahit group Wanna One.
