Public Transport to KLIA is only RM10 Now No Matter Which Train Station You Start

The 30-day unlimited travel pass was only launched last December which makes public transportation so much more affordable for Malaysians. Now, the government has just created a one-way combo ticket to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA 2 for just RM10.

According to The Star, passengers who wish to reach to either of the airports can choose the shuttle service from the Putra Heights LRT station. They can easily get the combo ticket from any LRT, MRT, BRT or monorail counter that is near to them.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the services had already begun last month to help increase connectivity and seamless travel for passengers.

“The combo ticket is sold for RM10 and comprises rail and bus tickets for a one-way journey.

“So if you’re staying in Sungai Buloh, for example, you can take the MRT, then take the LRT to come here (Putra Heights LRT station) and hop on the bus, all for just RM10″, Loke said during the service launch at Putra Heights LRT station yesterday (Mar 7). RM10 is too cheap… too cheap!

He added this is the government idea for a unified service and wants to make it easy and affordable for all.

The journey from Putra Heights to KLIA and KLIA2 takes about 40 minutes, with a bus departing every 30 minutes. Loke said Putra Heights was chosen due to its strategic location, as it connects the Kelana Jaya Line and Ampang Line. Anyone who wishes to continue their trip on Kelana Jaya or Ampang line can take the shuttle bus which will drop them off to the Putra Heights Station.

Loke said Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, has provided five shuttle buses that operate on a daily basis with a total capacity of 37 passengers per bus.
