S’porean Man Caught Smuggling 4 Kittens in His Pants, Netizens Went Into “Pussy” Puns Mania

Here is a story that will blow your Monday blues away. Last Saturday (Jan 5), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore took to Facebook to recount a hilarious crime.

“Trying to get past fur-midable officers? Impawsible,” the immigration authority began the record in jest.

The incident happened on January 2 when a 45-year-old Singaporean man was crossing the Tuas Checkpoint in a Singapore-registered car. The story would have ended there if the ICA officers on duty did not hear a felidae’s soft whisper that went “meow”.

The officers heard the “meowing” sound coming from the man’s unusual bulge in his pants, which ultimately prompted them to inspect further. Four live kittens were later pulled out from the man’s black Adidas yoga pants.

The case was referred to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) for investigation. The kittens were also placed under quarantine there too.

Under Singapore’s law, Animals and Birds Act, the importation of any animals or live birds into Singapore without a licence is illegal. If convicted, the offender could face a SG$10,000 (RM30,290) fine or imprisonment for up to a year, or both.

Upon learning the news, netizens could not help but to joke about the suspect’s questionable method of smuggling.

Other than thanking ICA for their commendable service, netizens also praised their pun games!

Some took a more sympathetic approach, caring only to the kittens who have a strong sense of smell which is about 14 times stronger than the human’s nose.

In the ever-increasing gender fluid world, people seem to really embrace LGBT jokes now.

Of course, how can the Internet forget to zoom into the photo to bring the cat’s expression into an exaggeration?

A netizen also quipped that “the bird” trapped with the cats was unharmed because the cats were busy playing balls.

The pun game is strong! Hahaha…

In all seriousness, we hope the adorable kittens would be put up for adoption rather than being put down.
