Previously, the roads in Genting Highlands turned into waterfalls and videos of it went massively viral. This time, Subang Jaya became the next victim as the roads had turned into rivers, making cars lost their grip to the ground and floated.
Videos of the flash flood in Subang Jaya were massively circulated on social media and WhatsApp today (Aug 15) after the rain started pouring this evening.
In one of them, it saw two MPVs being swooped up by the floodwater and turned sideway against the flowing stream. The scene was captured in front of USJ 8 police station.
In another video, it saw a couple of motorcycles submerged in the water.
Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Risikin Satiman confirmed the incident, adding that the actual number of vehicles affected by the flood is unknown yet, Sinar Harian reported.
“A detail report will be announced soon,” said Risikin Satiman.
