After a controversial road rage that ended with a life perished last week, here is another incident that has gone viral on social media.
In a 23 second video, a man was heard shouting at the female victims inside the car with a side mirror in his hand.
Clad in a black t-shirt, the man was said to have broken the victim’s side mirror before the passenger started filming the aggression.
As they drove away from the scene, the assailant then threw the side mirror at the victim’s vehicle.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said the victims were afraid something worse could happen so they drove straight to Sungai Besi police station and lodged a police report there, Malaysiakini reported.
The incident happened in Jalan Yaacob Latif, Cheras at 2.30pm Saturday (Aug 11). The road bully was a 27-year-old man.
“A 20-year-old woman lodged a report that she was driving her car toward the Cheras roundabout when another car abruptly came to a complete stop in front of her.
“She could not stop in time and hit the rear of the vehicle,” Mohamed Mokhsein told The Star.
“The man then started hitting the vehicle’s side mirror until it broke off and threw it at her vehicle as she tried to drive off.
“Fearing that something worse might happen, the woman drove straight to the nearest police station to lodge a police report,” he added.
The man turned himself at the Cheras district police headquarters yesterday (Aug 13) and was immediately arrested.
He would be remanded for a day and investigation findings will be submitted to the public prosecutor for further action, the Cheras police chief revealed.
